Who Cushing House may be right for

Cushing House may be appropriate for adults ages 18 and older who would benefit from structured transitional residential support while working toward greater independence.

Residents may come to Cushing House from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, a partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient program, a more structured residential treatment setting, a family home, or an independent living situation where additional support is needed.

The team works collaboratively with each resident and their existing treatment providers to support accountability, continuity of care, and thoughtful next-step planning.

Individualized treatment planning and goal setting
Weekly meetings with an assigned case manager
Collaboration with outpatient therapists, psychiatrists, and treatment providers
Coordination with family members when appropriate
